The ICRM Project

The aim of the ICRM project is to promote the 12 selected child’s rights through the ICRM DECREASE values. The ICRM wants to help vulnerable children by making sure their rights are protected and respected. ICRM wants to make sure that every child, no matter where they are (at home, school, in church, hospital and in institutions) must benefit from the 12 basic rights. To do this, ICRM will work in line with international, national and governmental laws.

Our Aims

  1. To work with local Child Protection Committees (CPC) under ICRM in communities to monitor and report child rights violations. The ICRM will work closely with local law enforcement agencies and social services to ensure prompt action is taken to defend the rights of children under ICRM.
  2.  ICRM is geared to providing equal access to quality education for children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Providing educational materials (Text books, IT equipment, stationary, partnering disadvantaged school children with advantaged children in advanced countries, colleges and universities etc.
  3.  ICRM can also create safe spaces for children in communities to play and learn. This could involve creating recreational facilities and providing basic amenities such as clean water, sanitation, and healthcare (sanitary pads in deprived schools etc.
  4.  ICRM aims to work on establishing a hotline for reporting child trafficking and exploitation cases within communities. The hotline will enable community members to report any suspicious activity related to child trafficking, and social workers can investigate and rescue affected children through ICRM.
  5.  ICRM also provides vocational training for older deprived children to enable them to acquire skills that will enable them to become self-sufficient. This could include training in tailoring, carpentry, or farming etc.
  6.  ICRM will also organise community awareness campaigns on child rights and protection. The ICRM campaign projects will involve community leaders, teachers, and parents, educating them on the importance of protecting children and reporting cases of child rights violations to ICRM hotline websites or WhatsApp.
  7.  ICRM can establish ICRM Child-Friendly Spaces (ICRM-CFS) in communities affected by conflicts or natural disasters. ICRM will also recommend safe and secure Child-Friendly Spaces (ICRM-CFS), where children can receive psychological support or therapy in communities affected by conflicts or natural disasters.
  8.  ICRM believes in establishing youth-led advocacy groups to promote child rights and protection. The ICRM advocacy groups will work closely with local authorities, media outlets, and other stakeholders to raise awareness of child rights violations and advocate for positive change within and across communities.
